A new Return and Earn collection point is now open at 329 Penshurst Street, Willoughby.

Member for Willoughby Tim James and Minister for Environment and Heritage James Griffin visited the new recycling facilities that allow for a seamless drop off and 10c refund for each container returned.

“The reverse vending machines offer an easy option to recycle your containers and a way to earn some extra money or help a charity.” Mr James said.

“I encourage everyone to make use of this facility and help ensure a cleaner environment for us all.”

Since the scheme’s inception in 2017, more than 8 billion containers have been recycled including 21.9 million in the Willoughby area.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 12pm to 6pm.
