We, the undersigned, understand the importance of accessible public transport that can serve all members of our community. Artarmon Railway Station is a vital transport hub for the local community, yet it currently lacks adequate infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population. The station is equipped with only one outdated lift that frequently malfunctions and serves just one side of the train line. This limits access for families, elderly residents and individuals with mobility challenges, creating an unnecessary burden for these groups.

We call on the Minns Labor Government to take a comprehensive and community-centred approach to improve accessibility at Artarmon Station by:

1. Engaging directly with the community to assess and address their accessibility requirements

2. Partnering with local Councils to incorporate community insights into the project’s design and planning.

3. Committing to infrastructure improvements that are durable, modern and capable of meeting Artarmon’s future needs. Including a lift that services both sides of Artarmon Railway station.
