Local not-for-profits, sporting organisations, schools and councils are encouraged to apply for two key NSW Government grant programs now open: the Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants and the Local Sport Grant Program.
Member for Willoughby Tim James welcomed the funding opportunities, noting the vital role both programs play in strengthening the community and supporting grassroots initiatives.
“These programs deliver real benefits to local groups and projects, whether it’s upgrading a community hall, installing lighting at a local field, or supporting greater participation in sport,” Mr James said.
Clubgrants Infrastructure grants provide funding of $50,000 to $300,000 for projects in four key areas including Arts & Culture, Community Infrastructure, Disaster Readiness and Sport & Recreation.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to secure funding for major projects across our community,” Mr James said. “I know there are some outstanding projects across Willoughby that are ready to go.”
Applications for Clubgrants are now open and close on 21 July 2025. For more information visit: www.nsw.gov.au/grants-and-funding/clubgrants-category-3-fund
Meanwhile, the 2025 round of the Local Sport Grant Program is offering up to $4.65 million statewide to support grassroots sport and active recreation.
$50 000 is available for projects in the Willoughby electorate with individual grants of $2,000 to $20,000 per project. The Program is open to incorporated, not-for-profit sporting organisations.
“Since its inception, this program has delivered more than $37 million to local sport. I encourage all eligible clubs to review the guidelines and apply,” Mr James said.
Applications close at 1pm on Monday 18 August 2025. For further information visit sport.nsw.gov.au/local-sport-grant-program
“These two programs represent excellent opportunities to invest in our local community and sporting infrastructure. I strongly encourage all eligible groups to get involved.”
