Local sporting clubs across Willoughby have received a total of $50,000 in funding to enhance their equipment, programs and facilities, allowing more people to get involved in community sports.

The funding was awarded to the following clubs in the Willoughby electorate:

- Willoughby Park Bowling Club (Bowling Green renovation)

- Northbridge Golf Club (Practice program for short game green)

- Artarmon Maestros Cricket Club (Uniform, kits and try events)

- North Sydney Junior Baseball Association (Baseball training and playing equipment)

- North Shore Bombers Australian Football club (AFL equipment, uniforms and a multicultural awareness workshop)

- Castle Cove Golf Club (Ground works)

Member for Willoughby Tim James highlighted the significance of these grants for local sports clubs. "Sporting clubs are the backbone of our community. I'm delighted to facilitate the funding for these clubs, which helps and support our broader community," Mr James said.

“The projects supported by the Local Sport Grant Program are crucial in bringing our community together and seeing more local people enjoy the physical social and mental health benefits of sports.”
