Artarmon Railway Station is a vital transport hub for the local community, but it is in urgent need of an upgrade to improve accessibility.

The Member for Willoughby, Tim James, has launched a petition to support the installation of a new lift at Artarmon Railway Station, servicing both sides of the station.

"The current lift is outdated, frequently malfunctioning and only serves one side of the train line. Our growing community deserves better," Mr James said.

“This is the only station on the North Shore Line without lift access on both sides.”

"With the completion of the Artarmon streetscape works this is a vital addition for the convenience and accessibility of the Artarmon community."

Mr James is engaging with Transport for NSW, community groups, local council and the Minister for Transport to ensure this much-needed infrastructure is delivered.

Artarmon Railway Station, an essential transport hub for the community needs this upgrade to cater to the growing population and provide access for all, including parents with prams, the elderly and those with mobility challenges.

"I will continue to champion this cause until we see a modern, reliable lift installed on both sides of the station," Mr James added.
